Ms. Rebell studied at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurt / M, where she also worked as a tutor for legal history. During her studies, she also deepened her language and legal knowledge in Geneva, Amsterdam and London. She spent her legal clerkship at the law firm of Kiran Tapsell (partner law firm Watkins Tapsell, former judge in New South Wales, artist, translator and author of various books) in Sydney, Australia and at the Chamber for Commercial Matters at the Regional Court in Frankfurt / M.
Ms. Rebell received her Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of San Diego in California, USA. There she was the first European student from the LL.M. Program that was allowed to work for the Legal Clinic. The Legal Clinic Program is a free “Pro Bono” program for destitute clients. During her studies at the University of San Diego, she also took part in the “Moot Court Competition”, an international competition in international law.
After completing her LL.M. Program the US bar exam for the state of Connecticut. She was with Alder Cohen and Grigsby, Pittsburgh, PA while preparing for the bar exam. employed and later for the law firm Bailey & Wechsler in Hartford, Ct. working as a lawyer. She was admitted to the United States District Court of Connecticut and the Supreme Court for the State of Connecticut.
After her return to Germany, the lawyer Rebell took on the role of a consultant at Deutsche Telekom AG. Here she worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions department of the company’s finance department for projects in Asia and South America.
She has been running her own law firm in Heusenstamm since 2009. Ms. Rebell previously published articles on German law for the law firm Pünder Volhard Weber & Axter, (now: Clifford Chance) which were published under her name in the Commerce Clearinghouse “Doing Business in Europe”.
In the past few years she has given various lectures on the subjects of living wills and power of attorney, patient rights and the rental price limit in German tenancy law. In addition to these areas, she is particularly interested in the subject of inheritance law, also in relation to the now valid EU Inheritance Law Regulation and with reference to US law in selected jurisdictions
Ms. Rebell is a certified executor (AG T).
She was also awarded the DAI executor’s training seal. She has practical experience with the execution of wills at home and abroad (here in Texas, Arizona, California, Isle of Man, Jersey, Gibraltar, among others).
In the area of inheritance law, Ms. Rebell is the competent contact person for all questions in this area of law, for example wills, inheritance contracts or the compulsory portion. It goes without saying that she will draft your will on your behalf. In this context it has to be mentioned that it also includes EU inheritance law. If necessary, she will defend your rights in legal proceedings or act as an executor.
